Old enough to know better

Okay so I am keeping my little nephew who will be 4 in October because his mom, dad, and 15 year old brother went on a crusie. There is exactly 10 months apart from my little nephew and my little boy.

So anyways he gets to my house yesterday evening and things are going great the boys eat and decided they want to go play outside til dark. I have no problem with this at all. So at dark I call the boys in so I can give them baths and lay them down to watch a little tv before I put them to bed. So I walk in after the boys and can't help to smell an over powering poop smell. My first thought was someone stepped in dog poop. So naturally I look at my shoes first then tell the boys to show me the bottom of their shoes. Nothing, but geez the smell is still so powerful then I notice on the floor there is a little terd. I thought maybe one of the boys stepped in it and it just came off there shoe.

So I go on and get the boys bath water running and still that smell is so strong. So I call both boys in there and notice that the smell gets even worse. Then as the boys are taking their clothes off to get in the bathtub I notice my little nephew is filthy from the waste down. Then when I turn him around to look at the back of his legs I notice it! Holy cow he crapped on himself and kept playing like it was nothing.

Now let me remind you that this kid is almost 4 and has been pottied trained from a year. Now as I mom and human being I understand that accidents happen. However, this was no accident! His pants are completely full and it was running everwhere from him sitting and jumping on the trampoline with it. It is one thing for a kid his age to do the do a little then realize oh crap this isn't a false alarm I got to go. I can even understand if his little stomach would have been tore up, but there again you could tell the difference by the poop. This was I should have came inside and went to the potty but I didn't want to so I took care of it in my pants things.

When my little boy saw it he was disgusted...lol. He told his little cousin that was gross and you don't go to the bathroom in your pants. This is even funnier, then he proceeds to say, "Did I go to the bathroom in my pants, noooo, I go to the potty."

Okay as mean as it sounded I had to take him outside to spray him off with the water hose because it was everywhere. When I say everywhere I mean from the middle of his back to down to his feet! Now I am not exaggerating about this one bit. I had already ran the bath water so putting him in the shower was not an option. If I would have put him in a sink we would have had a bigger mess than we already have.

So naturally while I was spraying him and his clothes off with the water hose I asked him why and didn't go to the potty and if his belly had hurt. This kid has the nerve to tell me "No it didn't and I didn't want to use the potty and I had to go poopoo." I am like wow. So I gave him the lecture that he was almost 4 and he was a big boy and he need to use the potty if he needed to do his business.

I can just imagine what is in store for me until Sunday if this happened just a few hours after I got him.

Summer time!

Wow so I can tell summer time is here.

I woke up the other night hot as heck. I have to sleep with the air condition on 65 degrees at night. My little boy and I like it really cold when we sleep. So when I woke up I was very alarmed. I looked at the thermostat and it said 76 degrees. I was like oh crap this is not happening. I went out side and saw that the outside unit lines were completely froze. The worse part about it was Friday night and the air condition place are not open on the weekend. So all weekend long we had to fight the heat during the day just so we could sleep peacefully.

We had the air condition man come out today and learned that we have a pin whole leak. Over a year we are losing one pound of freon a year. Which only cost about 60 dollars a year. It will cost 400.00 to find the pin whole and patch it. The cost of this stuff it too outrageous.

It seems to get hotter and hotter every year! The air condition people seem to jack up the prices as the summer seem to get worse.

Sometimes I wonder!

Okay so I got a call from my sister the other day wanting me to keep my nephew for a little less than a week because her, my brother-in-law, and my oldest nephew, who is 15, are going on a cruise. I have known about this trip since they booked it months ago but was told that my sister's mom was going to keep my nephew. So naturally I asked her why her mother wasn't going to keep him. She proceeds to tell me last week she had to go to Dallas for a week for work (understandable) but since they are taking my older nephew on the cruise with them that they needed some time alone. So my brother-in-law decided to go up there with her and her mom kept both of the boys for a week.

Now let me inform you they leave to go on this cruise this Sunday. So they were away from this 3 year old for a week, back for a week, and now they are leaving him for another week. Does anyone else see something wrong with this. I do not understand how someone could stay away from their kid so much and it not even phase them.

I can't leave my kid for a whole night without having that empty feeling and that need to be with him. I just don't understand. I am starting to wonder about the parents of today.

I don't understand!

So i haven't been posting much here lately on the blog. I have been really busy and kind of loss for words. It seems I have my off days just like anyone else. I have a rough time dealing with the death of my best friend and it has been 6 years this past March. Life goes on and more memories are built everyday. It just makes things a little harder when I see my little boy. My little boy reminds me so much of my best friend, Lance. The way he smiles, his sense of humor, and his caring and loving nature are all the things that link the two together for me. I guess my little boy was a gift to remember him by I don't know.

So then I have this other issue. I have many many wonderful people in my life. However, two people you need the most are usually your parents. Both of my parents are alive but they don't care about me or my family one bit. Now my mom, for as long as I can remember, always had something else in her life more important than her husband and her kids. That would be drugs and alchohol. My dad, on the other hand, raised me with my step mom. It is the classic step mom hates the kids senario. My dad has 3 daughters and 5 grandkids. My step mom has 1 daughter and and granddaughter, she treats as a daughter, and 3 great grand kids. This lady has pushed 2 of my daughters out the one left is a manager of a credit union. Needless to say she keeps her around for financing and stuff. Anyways, the point is my dad has just let it all happen. She doesn't like for his kids or grandkids to be around only hers. Go figure!

Anywho so with all my bull that I deal with I move on and try to make the best family I can for my little boy. I want him to grow up in an loving and supporting family. He is my world!

I just can't understand how anyone could put ANYONE or THING above the precious most wonderful life you brought in this world.

Okay enough of my sappy life...lol.

It has been awhile!

Okay so things have been a little up and down here lately, which is why I haven't wrote a blog in awhile. I have been so frustrated about some of the things that have been going on lately. I was almost done fixing my little boys room when all the sudden it started pouring down rain in his room. I was so upset and mad that I had did all that hard work just for it to be crushed! Anywho, we have moved past that. It took me a little bit let it go but I did. So we are fixing the roof once again and we are going to pick up and start fixing the rest of the house house over again.

Anyways other then that things have been good.

Some Companies part 2

Okay so you know how I was telling you in my previous blog about my husband's job. He calls Wednesday to tell them to make sure they leave his paycheck at the office so we could pick it up. Well let me just tell you, my husband's foreman said and I quote "oh well, we went ahead and just laid you off yesterday". OMG....are you freaking kidding me! They apparently didn't think that we needed to know! All I can say is WOW!!!! I guess they figured they would just hold out as long as possible so it would take longer to file unemployment on them. Well they were so long and we even claimed it back til Monday.

Dang Companies

Some companies amaze me. My husband is a welder so he works for a construction company out in the plants. There is not a whole lot going on around here due to the economony. Anyways, the company he works for has sent him home the last two day he has went in to work. They tell him they don't have any work for them right now but don't wont him to come in unless they call him to come in. They tell the workers they don't wont to give them a layoff because they will have something in a week or so. So in the meantime, we are suppose to sit on our thumbs and not draw any unemployment. Time are getting tougher and we can just just and wait for a phone call. The sad part is that everyone knows the company is getting paid for the workers service whether they are there or not. It is just a way to pocket more money.
